After that depressive episode, I tried to break free. I wanted to find a different path, to seize an opportunity that could change my life. But that opportunity never came. There was no support, no helping hand, and no environment where I could truly heal. The years that followed were nothing but an extension of darkness, and by the time I realized I had never truly recovered, I had lived 21 years in depression. During those moments of crisis, one question haunted me: “Are there others suffering like me? And if so, who will help them?” Then I realized: If no one else will help them, I will. Shelter & Seed Initiative was born from my own experiences. I wanted to create a place where children growing up in harsh circumstances would no longer feel as alone and hopeless as I once did. An organization that could provide education, opportunities, and a way out for those struggling with poverty, violence, and long-term psychological trauma. Shelter & Seed Initiative is more than just a nonprofit. It is the answer to the question I have pondered for years. And I believe that with the collective efforts of our community, we can change the fate of many—so they no longer have to suffer in silence and fear, as I once did.
